Ganadería RF

 

Rosalía Fernández está al frente de la Ganadería RF, una ganadería de ganado bovino, de raza autóctona asturiana de la montaña, también comúnmente llamada raza casina. Se trata de una raza autóctona en peligro de extinción, muy adaptadas al territorio en el que viven.

 

La ganadería está compuesta por 90 vacas madres, con unas 200 hectáreas de pastoreo, todas en alquiler. Los animales están siempre en el exterior, nunca estabulados. De hecho, la explotación no cuenta con ningún tipo de instalación.

 

Rosalía practica la trashumancia, desplazándose una distancia de 65 km aproximadamente entre los prados de verano y la zona donde pasan el invierno.

 

En los momentos necesarios, se aporta una suplementación, a base de forrajes y piensos.
